Day 1

After breakfast, we will set off on the southern bound road, have a stop over to look at the Royal Drum makers, stand on the Equator and be in both hemispheres at once and thereafter proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will continue through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns.

Queen Elizabeth is host to a large variety and volume of wildlife. It boasts one o the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park in the world, from the open Savannah to Rain forest, dense swamps and beautiful crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. Almost 100 species that include Hippos, Lions, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena and the elusive giant forest hog. The primates include Chimps, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons.

Overnight at a luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge/Budget Institute of Ecology (FB).

Day 2

Early morning wake up for the morning game drive to catch up with early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. During the game drive, you will be likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, water bucks, stripped jackal, leopard and of course the several warthogs. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax by the side of the swimming pool before taking an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. On the cruise you will see hippos, Buffalo, kobs, and elephants at the water edges. You may also see some crocodiles recently introduced in this park. Have a spectacular bird watching on the water banks especially marine birds. Retire to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

After a very early breakfast, head for the Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking and a variety of primates. Return to Kampala after the tracking. Lunch on route and arrive in the city late evening.

Note that Chimpanzee tracking is an optional activity and in case you need it an extra 100 USD should be paid in addition to the actual cost.
